Four Wonders of Langtang-Gosaikunda

I EXPERIENCED FOUR NEW THINGS DURING THE TREK:

1. White and pink Rhododendron flower: I have never before seen such colorful Rhododendron except red. I eat some of them while walking. I like the white ones more than the pink flower. The walking inside the Jungle near Langtang village was exciting to me.

2. Being near to Himal: Seeing Himal (Himalaya) from such a near distance was another new experience for me. Feeling huge mountains from the ‘touching distance’ was no doubt a thrilling reality. From Kenjing Gomba, you can see mountains on all sides. You are middle in the Himalayas.

3. Glacier under nose: We tried to go to touch the glacier, but were unable to do so, partly because we were feeling hungry and mainly because we lost the trail! For about three minutes, we were walking randomly over the thorny bushes. Wind was blowing so hard that we were feeling very cold over there. Once, we walked through the stream originated from the glacier nearby. That was not a good time especially on that altitude (about 4 thousand feet) but I loved that ‘adventure’. Of course, I managed go to a small mountain near the BIG mountain, play with snow there and write my name on the SNOW. The mountain instantly became Mt. DINESH!

4. Gosaikunda Lake and Gosaikunda Pass: These both places are simply amazing. I made a round of Gosaikunda Lake, which is religiously important for Hindus. The lake was almost all covered with frozen ice. I did some yoga on the path around the lake. I also went to climb a huge rock near to the bank of Suraj Kunda, another lake near to Gosaikunda. This lake seemed more dangerous, and dark.
