Crossing the Gosaikunda pass (4600m) was an exhilarating experience. The wind in the last night was so hard that, in the morning, we saw a plank in our room moved out of its original place. Though this pass is considered easier, last night’s snow was sure to make our trek difficult in the morning. This morning we were right there on the pass covered with fresh snow. Some Dutch people with few porters were ahead of us. They were ‘exploring’ & leading the trail. We were simply following their footsteps. I wrote my name on so many places that, in the beginning, my companion seemed annoyed by my ‘behavior’. Common, this was not for so long. She too started writing her name on the snow with the stick! We say at least four totally frozen lakes on the pass. It was really a thrilling moment to see so many lakes at the height of 46 hundred feet. Later, I thought it would have been fun to spend a day or two there.
